Park for free in downtown SC this holiday Season | Print |  E-mail
Written by Elizabeth Limbach
Thursday, 20 November 2008

This holiday season, save your spare change from getting gobbled by the downtown parking meters and put it towards a steamy peppermint latte instead. The City of Santa Cruz and the Downtown Association have joined forces to create the 2008 Downtown Holiday Parking Program. Their gift to Santa Cruz drivers will be free two hour parking at all bagged downtown meters  from Saturday, Dec. 20 through Friday, Dec. 26 – just enough time to grab those last minute stocking stuffers for the family. Just be sure the spot you snag has a bagged meter, because all other lots, Loading Zones, Disabled Persons’ Parking, No Parking Areas, and Permit Parking Restrictions will continue to be enforced as  usual.
