The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum will no longer be free as of July 1. The horticultural organization has struggled with getting by on donations, and seeks to increase its operating expenses with a $5 charge to adults and $2 charge to children between the ages of 6 and 17. Admission will continue to be free to UCSC students, Arboretum members, children under 6, members fo the American Horticultural Society, and school groups on field trips. There will also be a free admission day for everyone on the first Tuesday of each month.

Norrie's Gift Shop may still be visited free of charge.
