As uncontrolled fires burned in Bonny Doon last week large parts of the Midwest were experiencing excessive flooding. In the town of Little Sioux, Iowa sixty tornadoes hit a Boy Scouts camp. The boys, (four deaths and over 40 hospitalized with injuries) were learning leadership skills. When the tornados struck, the Boy Scout, whose motto is “Be prepared,” swung into directed, trained and knowledgeable action. Each boy, trained in emergency procedures, used his emergency kit. With no easily accessible roads to their camp, the boys, some as young as seven, were on their own. We salute the strength and preparedness of these boys and their capable leaders. Perhaps we should join the Boy (or Girl) Scouts, have on hand the Boy Scouts manual and practice the procedures. This is an example of north node (present/future) conjunct Chiron (wound/healing) in Aquarius (the group called humanity). Humanity being wounded, learning to heal itself, through education, dedication and training.
Thursday Mercury in Gemini turns direct at 7:31 a.m. (Pacific time). It’s Summer Solstice, Friday at 4:59 p.m., as the Sun, poised at the equator, enters Cancer. The devic (angelic) kingdom (green and violet builders of the plant kingdom), having completed their work for the year, now prepare for a golden wedding party. This occurs in us, too. ARIES (March 21-April 20) Notice that you have had many and various goals this past year. You’ve climbed the ladder to the pinnacle of reaching those goals. Notice also that you have assumed a new authority, one finer tuned, responsible, and aware of the importance to serve others. These are great accomplishments though they felt like great challenges. You have done well. Continue.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21) More and more you are showing others your true self and we find you are the illumined leader and teacher everyone’s seeking in these times of stress and strain. Actively pursuing your interests and goals, you barely have time for other pursuits. Continue to contact others who share your concern for humanity’s future. Use your resources for the helping of humanity in the difficult times to come. Expand your garden.

GEMINI (May 22-June 20) Give praise and recognition for everything in your life. Each of us is deeply blessed with creative gifts manifested in outer abilities. Each of us has a group of people around us whose purpose is to help us grow, transform, achieve, evolve and grow even more. We contract with family and friends before birth to act in ways that help each us move forward spiritually. Because we don’t remember this (contract) often feels difficult. Nonetheless, thank them. CANCER (June 21-July 20) You may feel your work takes you away from family. And then family feels like it takes you away from work. Your task and lesson, difficult as it may seem, is to balance the two. The more difficult this is, the greater the Initiation. Do you have visions and dreams for a different future? Or have you given up on dreaming? In between exhaustion and despair a glimmer of a dream may occur. Watch for it.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 22) Your life has taken on dimensions that at times seem overwhelming. So much to do, so many thoughts moving through your mind yet hidden behind a veil. This brings forth great emotions as you try to express yourself and find communication difficult, tangled, and wrought at times with sadness. The family is still here but it needs communication. Is your love life assuming a new path?

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) An extraordinary creativity is building within. Perhaps you are not aware of this or consider yourself especially creative. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Communication seems so expanded, full and rich. Though perhaps most of it is internal, you do need to communicate your thoughts to those who listen carefully, respond appropriately, and even maintain silence as you speak. Allowing those you trust to understand you strengthens your sense of security. You are not an island. Don’t keep secrets. Allow what you know to be shared. Conservatively.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) A new world stage seems to be preparing itself for you. Sagittarians are publishers, world travelers, philosophers. They stand in no one’s shadow. In fact they create the shadows others stand in. You’re on the precipice of change. You feel this. But you must wait until that change is prepared enough for you. CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) Inner impressions from regions spiritual and ever-directing are informing you to take time alone and rest from climbing that ever-present ladder reaching into the heavens of success. AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 18) The realities in our lives begin with our hopes, wishes, dreams and imagination. ARIES (March 21-April 20) You wonder these days what your true values and ideals are for they presage the future. You ponder upon your circle of friends. Do you think the same and are you comfortable with them? Our friends are important for support and nurturing. In the coming months and for several years you will re-evaluate and re-examine who your friends are and why. You will also assess your importance to them, your communication and deepen the spiritual basis that holds you together. Or separate.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21) Long held dreams, hidden and perhaps buried for years may emerge, lighting the way toward your future and a new possible profession. It may be the right time for new training and study, allowing you to venture into a new field. You will assess your needs and the needs of humanity during these trying times. Should you come up with work that is service oriented, you are on the right track. In the future we will need to help each other in creating a sharing society. You will lead.

GEMINI (May 22-June 20) You constantly seek knowledge—that is your spiritual task. Assess all that you have learned, the many fields of study you’ve endeavored to assimilate. CANCER (June 21-July 20) In your daily life you often think of loved ones who have passed on. Many times you feel they have left you behind. But the reality is they are working quite closely with you. You simply need to communicate from the heart with them to sense this. On another subject, how is your monetary situation. You will begin to use your resources creating a future different than the past. You will be called to nurture humanity, to teach them, and provide them with food. We thank you for what you now do.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 22) Review all relationships, past and present, seeking the truth of your communicate, vicissitudes, moods, and what you offer others. You must always cultivate a depth of connection for this releases love. Do you see how you have grown through relationships? Did you long ago expect too much, create illusions, were you defensive and demanding? Or were you understanding? Do you recognize now that love is based on always seeing the Life-spirit within the other? Then you (and they) remain free.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Be especially careful with health. Do not stay away from any particular food, unless you have allergies. Create a balance by eating all foods, prepared in various ways. Some follow diets for religious reasons, ignoring their body’s needs. Consider all work as service work. Tending to the home and garden serves the mineral and plant kingdom. Tending to the animals serves the animal kingdom. They show their gratitude.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Perhaps that romance you had hurt but you suffered silently through it. Till one day you removed yourself. A courageous step. Now you’re independent, never again to idealize another. This is wise. Careful not to become involved with someone else’s money, or assume a risky loan. If you already have, seek legal advice to again remove yourself. If you have children, observe them with extra care. Don’t idealize them either. Creativity comes a calling. Art is your refuge.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Has your home undergone changes in the past several years? Are you feeling strange and subtle changes within, too? Our homes are our psychological fortresses. When we change, they change, and those changes disassemble our sense of security and safety. Does home feel confusing, is communication with family difficult? Attempt to make your home, or wherever you find yourself, as beautiful as possible. Beauty will sustain you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) You reflect on deep inner concerns. Outer success seems less important. Instead you question and evaluate your life in spiritual terms. You ponder upon inner fulfillment wondering what’s been a masquerade? Spiritual dimensions are tugging at you, perhaps not completely apparent but they are there. At times you want to withdraw, drop into deeper dimensions, classify your knowledge, and make plans for the future. It will happen.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) A need to ensure your future through expanded resources is important with financial security a focus and goal. AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 18) You will review who you think you are as a person and who you are with others. Do they synchronize? Be aware of beliefs, ideas, notions, and judgments learned from childhood. Do they serve you? What do you think of your life thus far? Is it exciting and wholesome or is it sad and fearful? You will ponder upon and learn about yourself in the next few months. Then a new self-identity emerges. Do not feel confused. Cultivate compassion.

PISCES (Feb.19-March 20) Assess your lifelong experiences, accomplishments and yearnings. Make these into a book. Take time to focus upon yourself. Find places of quiet. Notice your thoughts centering on life and death, beginnings and endings, physical and spiritual realms. Also notice previous endeavors are no longer important. Mars is the planet of things hot and red, fiery and inextinguishable. Mars lights a fire within us, makes us quite dramatic, and is hard to control. Mars is desire (Aries) then aspiration (Scorpio). Mars is presently in Leo, the sign of passion, high creativity, high drama and the search for a title, a queen/kingship and a throne. In California as the late May fires were felling ancient redwoods in the hills above Santa Cruz, Mars in Leo was sitting atop the city’s chart. Both Mars as a planet and Leo as a sign can singe, burn, scorch, char and sear anything they touch. It’s their nature, though Leos eventually settle down into their hearts where love is like honey and Mars takes its rightful place in Scorpio to hand out the nine tests. TAURUS (April 21-May 21) Your work focus is becoming very productive as you are attempting to resolve financial problems and make a secure future for everyone. I’ve mentioned this many times and it continues, for you are to tend to the lives of many generations after you who come to you for aid and sustenance. Of all the signs you are the most composed and prepared. Be careful of things electrical in the home. And rest on Wednesday.

GEMINI (May 22-June 20) It seems as if you’re illumined from within. A golden light emanates from your eyes. With Venus, Sun, Mercury and Ceres in Gemini, the potential love/wisdom resting longingly in your heart is beginning to emerge. When others come in contact with you they are puzzled. What is it that’s different they wonder? Your personality light dims as your Soul light shines forth. Observe how you feel. Gaze at Castor and Pollux.

CANCER (June 21-July 20) Working with your finances and resources becomes exciting when you know you will want to use all that you have to create a future that is sustainable and ecological for not only you and your family, but for humanity—those who will come to where you are when many changes begin. Opportunities for more resources fill your mind with ideas as you research and work with others, each of whom has their specific gifts. Nurture them.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 22) Are you busy with this and that, here and there? Are you projecting yourself everywhere in order to participate in various activities where others recognize and applaud you? This is good for your self-identity and it’s also good if you’re going to run meetings, group discussions and community matters. You always have leadership qualities but now they are really seen and heard and your ideas are applied. Stay humble.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) While Mercury (your planet) is retro alongside Sun and Venus in your house of ambition, your mind is internally figuring out what achievements you want to accomplish in the coming months. Tests revealed a brain tumor. Ted’s chart shows Pisces Sun (desire to save humanity, dedicated public servant, issues with alcoholism); Virgo Moon (detail oriented, seeking new state of consciousness for humanity, deeply self critical); Capricorn rising (politician, Democratic senator), Mercury & Mars in Aquarius (serving humanity, seeking new world order). Kennedy has simultaneous Saturn (restriction), Chiron (hurt, illness, wound), and Mercury/Uranus (unexpected electrical activity in the brain) connections. ARIES (March 21-April 20) Notice your focus on others understanding you, most important during retrograde times. However if others are non-receptive for protection, you will limit communication. This is good. There is much you want to say and will therefore mull over and over thoughts, ideas and communications making sure what you said was clear and precise. You are doing your best. These are not easy times. You’re good.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21) Your activities are now based upon previous research, which created a value system, which you attempt(ed) to express and maintain. It is important to focus on finances—new ways of creating resources to stabilize your life and the life and future of others. Careful with health. Should there be a chronic illness seek medical help including alternative modalities. What past behavior needs to be broken?

GEMINI (May 22-June 20) You want to progress forward, are somewhat impatient, will leap ahead with thoughts and conclusions before all the information is in. It is difficult to focus your energies outward during retrogrades especially for Geminis who are mostly outward focused until the Soul assumes direction. Notice that you jump into situations then retreat. Observe your behaviors, choices and thoughts.

CANCER (June 21-July 20) There’s a constant inward turning toward understanding the reality and truth of what you see, hear, feel, and experience. This is spiritual work. As you remember past circumstances and choices made in the last several years you feel extremely introverted, replaying conversations in your mind until exhausted. This is difficult. Be aware that your family is fine and they will take care of themselves. They are experiencing the tests of life.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 22) Is your mind seeking a sense of greater meaning? Are you hunting a rainbow? Have you encountered many important people and those who love you as you remained detached? You are a loner yet need people to color your world, to inspire you, and to be, in turn inspired by you. You are uncomfortable in crowds yet it’s the crowd that crowns you. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) As you reflect on past achievements, do they measure up to your expectations? This is an interesting time for you. There is a realization that due to family training your self-expression can feel inhibited and cautious. The same ways you have built your past you build your future. You will recreate your past. Then you will create your future. It will be free.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Are you moving forward and backward, expanding and contracting all the while removed from a stable center? Perhaps you are making the trivial into a philosophical treatise and trivializing what’s most important? These are polarities. You are experiencing these so your awareness can be strengthened. What is most important is that you come to a realizing that through Goodwill, which creates Right Relations you finally, come to a state of active peacefulness.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) We know you are a deep thinker who enters into the heart of life’s deepest meanings. This is good. However you can be misunderstood because as others accept superficial answers to most questions, you do not. Sometimes this makes you shy away from intimacy. Keeping thoughts and ideas to yourself you can become isolating. Try not to have this happen. Instead force yourself to communicate, use Right Language, and you will regenerate yourself and others. This takes pondering.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) Present experiences are teaching you to balance the focus of your ideas and needs with the needs of others. Although you may feel hampered by this, your self-expression and understanding become enhanced. It’s a paradox (as usual). Should you be feeling more indecisive than usual, wait awhile. Your inner self and mind are evaluating past occurrence in order to fashion your future. Don’t worry. Be happy. (What teacher said that?)

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) Know that you may be analyzing reality through the eyes of others. Should there be a sense of frustration in relationships, remember that conflict is the first step toward a greater harmony. You are capable of harmonizing all realities – children, partner, siblings, friends. Although you also may choose not to do this, you already do. You must have time (out) for yourself to sort out your own conflicts. You also need rest.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 18) Your ability to analyze and organize is a comfort. However you may feel that others are expecting from you what you cannot deliver. This creates a state of nervousness and later resentment. Then you can be overly critical of yourself wondering if your words, thoughts and actions were kind. Much of your time is spent thinking you should be doing more. If you simply organize your life (papers, clothes, objects, etc.) you will be able to do more. Get a file cabinet.

PISCES (Feb.19-March 20) Safety and security are on your mind, and the need to be in an environment where you feel sure of yourself. This is not available in the outer world. It’s possible you feel quite alone. Something very important seems to end, family becomes most important yet they remain on the periphery, you think about your mother, and tend to overwhelming duties. Nevertheless, you are diligent, hard working, and practical. Pray. 

When it comes to rescue, Project Purr continues to impress

Mercury retrogrades in Gemini (21 degrees) Monday morning. Tend to all communication carefully. In the meantime news around the world in the past weeks has been devastating—Colombia’s earthquake, China’s earthquake, Myanmar’s cyclone. Deaths could exceed one million and rising. We can do two things to assist those who are suffering: 1) donate to the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Catholic Charities, Unicef, Care International, etc. 2) recite for those who have died Ohm Mani Padme Hum, over and over when we remember. This mantram assists in their transition through the bardos (pathway between Earth and spirit world), it assists the grief-stricken families left behind, it assists the angelic realms tending to the dead who are in shock, and it assists in the stability of our entire Earth in these difficult and continuing reorienting times with more to come.

Many of the prophets, seers, clairvoyants and futurists are no longer suggesting change is coming. They say we are in that change and the focus now must be on 1) awareness and sensitivity which will help us know when a disaster will strike, and 2) preparation— putting foods, medicines, water and essentials by (like the Mormons who very efficiently teach the skills of preparedness). What is occurring is an end to the materialism (Pluto in Capricorn) we have known (a developmental stage living in form and matter) so that a “new materialism” (spiritualized) can take shape in the form of a “sharing economy” which later will consist of barter, community living, and equal distribution of resources. ARIES (March 21-April 20) What is the status of your car? Does it need a tune-up and/or repairs? What is the status of the computer and phone systems? Do they need upgrading? Are there people you must contact, tasks to tend, bills and correspondences waiting for your attention? Whatever must be done, do it slowly, with care and attention and give yourself more time than usual. Have intentions to complete all past work. You have three weeks.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21) Previous financial situations not able to be tended to till now will need your attention. With all bills and monetary interactions, check and recheck the amounts for there could be mistakes. It will be important to re-evaluate your budget and spending. I think you have many valuable items, which could be sold so you have more capital to work with and in order to purchase preparedness supplies. And create that environment you’re impelled to build.

GEMINI (May 22-June 20) You ponder upon how others perceive you. Realize you have leadership abilities. In the next several weeks your thoughts will make you aware or self-identity. Do not allow criticism to undermine your goodness. There may be a challenge between your love of self and your judgmental self. Someone else may activate this. Know that your childhood experiences were chosen by you for learning.

CANCER (June 21-July 20) Fears may be ready to set up housekeeping in your emotional mind. Inform them they are not welcome. Others can assist you if you talk about what’s bothering you. Fear can become addictive, looping over and over in your lower mind and bringing you to your knees metaphorically. If there is lamentation and grief, that is allowed. But fear isn’t. It isn’t real and is based on non-information.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 22) Reassessing friendships and social interactions, future goals, hopes, wishes and aspirations are your currents of thought in the coming weeks. Re-evaluating these keeps us in touch and aware. Whenever we feel tension and longing a new need and aspiration is calling us. Respect this. When desires are spiritualized, they become aspirations. They tell us of the pathways to our future.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Your life direction will come into focus along with who you want to be in the coming years. These are very important considerations. Sometimes we don’t really know what life has in store for us. And sometimes we can’t visualize anything. What in your life are you striving toward? What things/events are most important for you? Do the environments you find yourself in, reflect you?

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Several times in our lives we have spiritual experiences that lead us to reassess life’s purpose and our purpose within life itself. We refine and redefine; we ask if there is actual justice in life. There is but it’s often hidden unless we quest beneath the surface of accepted reality. Ethics become important. What are your ethics? Do you know what they are? Remember at all times to radiate Goodwill.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Other people’s money and resources will be on your mind and/or money and resources you hold in common with another. Arrange a meeting specifically concerning these resources stating what both of your needs are for the future. You will reassess and rearrange but it must be done with equanimity. We will begin to enter into a sharing economy. Knowing this you can better manage your need for power. Power with others works.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) You may remember all previous relationships over the next three weeks. It’s good to assess what has worked, what didn’t and how your belief systems (patterns learned when you were small) affected the outcomes. Something special is or will be occurring intimately. Perhaps it’s that you understand how love works and that it’s not about the other. It’s about your intentions and ability to see the life principle in action.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) Daily work and agendas, interactions with co-workers will be the focus. Something from the past shows up and through cooperation and intentions for right relations you create a state of cooperation that surpasses all expectations. Home life on a daily basis may feel changed. A previous restrictive attitude of someone near you continues to be difficult. Eventually this must be faced lest something is lost forever. Schedules shift and change constantly.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 18) It’s good to know there’s a difference between what makes you happy and what makes others happy. They’re not the same. It is a radical shift within ourselves when we ask what makes another happy, soothed, comforted, cared for. When we realize these we may at first have to sacrifice our own comfort. But should we tend to the other, joy replaces discomfort and the happiness is ours.

PISCES (Feb.19-March 20) The following issues will be on your mind: Your mother and you as mother (if you are); your relationship with your children, especially daughters; concern about your home – where and how you live and what the future will bring in terms of home, family, and the quality of nurturing you will receive. There will be conflicts felt amidst all the realities. What you truly want may not be available. But something greater is. Definition and seeking helps it
find you.
