| International Arabic Music Legend Elias Lammam teaches an introductory workshop to the "Riqq" or Arabic tambourine. Workshop will cover proper playing techniques and some beginning Arabic rhythms for riqq. Workshop is open to percussionists of all types, and others wishing to learn proper riqq technique. Prior background in Arabic music not required. Ongoing percussion classes also offered Thursdays from 7-8 pm at PPFDC. Monthly Arabic music workshops offered one Saturday per month, focusing on a different topic each month. |
