Featuring works by Russian composers Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and others. Like Russia's history, their music tells stories of love and war, of passion and politics. The chamber group consists of distinguished musicians: Artistic Director Ian Scarfe (pianist, with San Francisco Conservatory of Music, founder Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival), Philip Brezina (violinist with San Jose Chamber Orchestra, co-founder Trinity Alps festival), Stephen Harrison (faculty Stanford University, cellist Ives String Quartet), Roy Malan (faculty UCSC and violinist with extensive national, international performances), Polly Malan (viola, numerous performances locally and regionally).
