O'Malley is currently finishing his first book, "Final Passages: The Inter-colonial Slave Trade of British America, 1619-1807." It examines a complex network for distributing enslaved Africans throughout North America and the Caribbean after their survival of the infamous (and much more thoroughly studied) Middle Passage across the Atlantic.
