We invite you to attend our free public events and talks during Sea Otter Awareness week, September 22-28, 2013. -Monday, Sept. 23 at 7:00pm at CSUMB, we present "The return of sea otters to Elkhorn Slough: What they have taught us and what we hope to learn" presented by Ron Eby and Robert Scoles, Research Volunteers of Elkhorn Slough Reserve. -Tuesday, Sept. 24, come see Dr. Woutrina Miller, DVM, present her study on "Sea Otters: Sassy Sentinels or Vivacious Victims?" This talk will be held at 7:00pm at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Auditorium. -Thursday, Sept. 26, we present "What makes a sexy otter? An investigation of male territories as a means of obtaining mates" presented by Max Tarjan, PhD student, U.C. Santa Cruz. The presentation begins at 7:00pm at the Seymour Center at Long Marine Laboratory. -Please join us Friday, Sept. 27, to hear the leading sea otter expert of the work, Dr. Jim Estes, talk on the "Status and conservation of the California sea otter - past, present and future."
