I am open to all kinds of people, and am willing to take in ideas.

We have a complex week ahead. Wednesday, Jupiter is opposite Neptune (Virgo/Pisces). Synthesis. A most auspicious, kind and loving day. Thursday, Mercury, star of conflict and crisis, is playing its beginning of retrograde in Libra (16 degrees). Our last Mercury retro was in Gemini (May/June). It concerned communications. Now the retrograde is in Libra, concerning relationships, right use of money and pondering upon right relations. Mercury takes us deep within ourselves where we deliberate, ponder, and brood over issues in our personal and global worlds. Mercury retro in Libra helps us review the quality and status of our relationships (commitments, marriage, partnerships, etc.). It calls us to assess if we have right relations with all the kingdoms—mineral, plant, animal, human and our soul (the new kingdom on Earth). Mercury retrograde continues through the Oct. 9. We all know the Mercury retro rules by now.
Monday is United Nations International Day of Peace. Everywhere in the world, at noon, there is a moment of silence. Let us all participate. We know the esoteric equation for peace: Goodwill + right relations (Libra) = the beginning of the peace process. More at internationaldayofpeace.org.
Wednesday (Sept. 23) is autumn equinox, as the sun enters Libra. The soul year begins. It’s also Yom (day) Kippur (to atone), a somber day of atonement, the most holy and solemn day of the Jewish year. We ask God on this day to forgive us, our omissions, ignorance, and all that we have done to create separations and sadness in others. The purity of Virgo has prepared us for the Libra balance and harmony forgiveness offers. All things are then made new. “May we all be inscribed for good in the Book of Life.”
There is a humanitarian crisis in Europe that is affecting the world. Thousands of refugees, forced out of their countries due to war, persecution, terrorism, injustices, slavery, violence and death squads are seeking refuge and asylum in many European countries.
The leaders of the countries do not yet know how to meet this crisis. When crisis occurs in our world (globally or individually), notice at first we don’t know how to respond, often entering into states of denial, duality, separation and isolation—a reaction due to shock and unfamiliarity. To solve the problem (crisis) we must expand beyond it in order to see a solution. Europe is finding itself in this stage of the crisis. The refugee situation is unprecedented. Refugees are not migrants or immigrants (seeking better economic opportunities). Refugees (seeking asylum from persecution, wars, death, etc.) are protected under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR, 1948) and the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees. The situation in Europe is one in which David Miliband, CEO of the International Rescue Committee says that this is a crisis that needs to be “burden-shared.” All of us—from great nations to individuals. The humanitarian crisis calls each of us to new acts of service.
What is service? Service is a law of the soul, a life demonstration, a soul urge, an evolutionary impulse of love. In Virgo, our personality (doing the action) and soul (pouring forth love) unite. We express the soul by offering healing, help, comfort, assistance and service to those in need. The forces of materialism have created a disastrous human crisis. It is a battle for the survival of humanity. World Servers stand with and support the Forces of Light, responding with the Three Jewels: 1) the Teachings (compassion), 2) the Dharma (our service), and 3) the Sangha (creating safe communities). Together.
As Burning Man (nine days, Aug. 30-Sept. 7 in the sign of Virgo) burns in the hot white desert sands, a petal of the rose created by retrograde Venus and the twelve-petaled Sun in Virgo’s petals unfold. All of us are on the burning ground (Leo) in the womb (cave of the heart) of the mother (Virgo), gestating for humanity once again (each year) a new state of consciousness. Both Virgo and Cancer, feminine (receptive energies) signs, are from our last solar system (Pleiades). When humanity first appeared on Earth we were nurtured by the mother, a matriarchy of energies (on islands in the Pacific). Eve, Isis and Mary are part of the lineages of our ancient Mother.
Overseen by the Pleiades, the Earth (matter, mater, the mother) in that last solar system was imbued with intelligence (Ray 3). As we move toward autumn, another mother, Ceres realizes she has mere weeks left with her beloved daughter, Persephone. Persimmon and pomegranate trees prepare for autumn, their colors signs of hope as the light each day continues to dim.
Sunday, Venus in Leo turns stationary direct, yet continues in her shadow until Oct. 9 (when retrograde Mercury turns direct). Slowly our newly assessed values emerge from the Venus retrograde. We thought in Venus retro how to use our resources more effectively. Mercury retrogrades Sept. 17.
Monday is Labor Day. Let us honor the labor of everyone, all life a “labor.” Let us honor Labor Day and all those who have “served” (labored for) us this past year. We honor their labors. We honor the labor of our parents, those who have loved us. We honor our own labors, too. We are all in service, we are all laboring. We are all valuable.
Make peace with myself, which would allow me to be at peace with others.
