Leo Sun; Full Moon, Venus Retro in Leo; Saturn Direct

Leo Sun; Full Moon, Venus Retro in Leo; Saturn Direct

It’s a complex week of planetary movements, challenges, demands and callings. We’re in the time of the Leo Sun. Leo—fixed fire, gold, the heart, generous, strong, noble, the king/queen—needs appreciation and praise from everyone in order to move forward. During Leo we gain a greater sense of self-identification by recognizing our creativity. It’s therefore a perfect time for Venus retrograding in Leo. In Venus retrograde we review and re-assess values. Venus retro in Leo concerns our self as valuable, acknowledging talents, gifts, abilities and offerings. Friday, Venus re-enters Leo (29 degrees, a critical degree) continuing the retrograde to 14 degrees Leo on Sept. 6.

Friday (Full Moon) is also the (8 degrees) Leo solar festival, Festival of the Future. Leo is the heart of the sun, the heart of all that matters. When attuned to this heart, we have understanding and inclusivity. The heart of the Lion is Mitra (think “Maitreya,” the coming World Teacher). Leo prepares humanity to receive divine love from subtle sources and later to radiate that love to the kingdoms. Sirius, Ray 2, where love originates, streams through Regulus (heart of Leo), into the heart of the sun (Ray 2) and into all hearts. The heart of Leo is Regulus. Joining Venus, the love underlying all of creation appears.

Saturday is Sun/Neptune (confusion or devotion) with late night Saturn turning stationary direct. Ideas, plans and structures held long in abeyance (since March 14) slowly move forward. Sun in Leo, Rosy Star, Venus and Uranus Retrograde

Sun in Leo, Rosy Star, Venus and Uranus Retrograde

Three major celestial events occur this week. Wednesday, the Sun enters Leo, highlighting the heart center of everyone. Leo is a sign of deep sensitivity (along with Cancer). Wednesday is also the feast day of St. Mary Magdalene, one of the most misunderstood women in the Bible.

Saturday, July 25, Venus turns stationary retrograde at 0 Virgo (progressed Regulus, the Law, Hall of Records). Venus retrogrades for 44 days and nights, forming one petal of a five-pointed rosy star (pentagram) in the sky (five retrogrades over eight years = star). Venus retrograde turns values upside down. Our usual sense of beauty, values, the real price of things, relationships—all turn into a bundle of confusion. We don’t seem to know anything. Luxury goods are mispriced, values are jumbled, we wonder who that person is we’re in relationship with. We don’t know where our money is or where it’s gone.

Venus, in daily life, represents values (resources, money, possessions and quality of relationships). Venus retrograde asks, “What do I value?” Venus retrograde puts us in touch with what has changed and what is truly of value in our lives. Venus retrogrades from 0 Virgo to 14 degrees Leo (July 25-Sept. 6). Leo is about the self and our creativity, which is how we come to know and value ourselves. We “know ourselves through what we create.” In Venus (values) retrograde (inner focus) we will ask, “What are values (not just money and finances)? What are my values? What do I create? How do I value my creations? Do I value myself?”

Sunday, Uranus—planet of all things new, revelatory and revolutionary—also retrogrades (from 20 to 16 degrees Aries) until the full moon of Christmas Day. Five months of Uranus retrograde. In July and continuing on through the following months we have many planets retrograding. Things therefore slow down. Everyone’s focus becomes subjective, hidden by veils and curtains. A time when inner reserves of strength are available. A time of protection.

Light in the Mind, Light of the World

Light in the Mind, Light of the World

On July 15, at the new moon (no light), something called Jade Helm 15 (July 15 – Sept. 15) will be initiated in the United States. Strategic military maneuvers in western and southern states, and a massive surveillance of the United States people. It’s important we know about these things. The keywords on the Jade Helm logo are, “Mastering the Human Domain.” It’s A.I. (artificial intelligence) being tested to monitor humanity and to make decisions based on the information gathered. See the July 10 article on my Facebook page, which can be accessed via my website nightlightnews.org, concerning Jade Helm (the name’s innocuous) and why it’s important to be aware.

This is our last week of Cancer. On Wednesday, July 22, on the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, the Sun enters Leo. Before Leo arrives, let us understand Cancer more. Everyone’s astrology chart contains the sign Cancer. Every sign has three developmental stages humanity sequentially progresses through. Here are Cancer’s developmental stages: 1. At first, we are self-oriented, self-absorbed and self-important (personality building). 2. After many lifetimes we awaken to our environments (Earth, families, friends) and become sensitive to others. 3. Then, one day, under the soul’s light, we “identify” and are united with the whole (which means holy) of life. Filled with the soul’s light we become the “light of the world.” With this light, we “build a lighted house for humanity and invite humanity home.” We dwell there, too.

Let Isolation Be the Rule

Let Isolation Be the Rule

The entire week builds toward the new moon of Cancer (23.14 degrees) on Wednesday, July 15. Mercury has entered Cancer. We speak in ways that allow others to feel emotional security. Our words offer sustained nourishment. We are resourceful, bringing people and ideas together. We care for and “mother” all environments.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are under the Taurus moon. We seek the art of living truthfully and sustainably. Sunday, Gemini moon, the Cancer Sun squares Uranus (all things new) in Aries. Squares challenge us into new directions, leading to the future, and working with a new identity (Aries) under the new Aquarian Laws and Principles (new rhythms/archetypes).

Monday, Mercury in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces. Trines are harmonious. They lead us to heaven through mystical, spiritual insights and perceptions. Monday night and Tuesday, Venus squares Saturn. We consider the state of our finances and resources, and the world’s finances in difficulty.

Wednesday is Cancer new moon. At new moon times we recognize, stand with, support and “uplift the hands, arms and endeavors of the New Group of World Servers and women and men of Goodwill everywhere.” The Cancer keynote when building the personality is “Let isolation be the rule, yet the crowd exists.”

After lifetimes spent building the personality (physical body, emotions, lower mind), unaware of the soul’s presence, we eventually become isolated, disconnected and lonely. This deep isolation creates in us a call for help. The soul, always listening, replies, directing its light, love, intelligence and will-to-good for the first time into the personality. A relationship begins between the personality and the soul. Isolation and loneliness cease. Realization of oneness, connectivity and unity are felt. The soul “builds a lighted house (in the personality) and from then on dwells within it.” Our life changes.

We Hold These Truths to Be Self-Evident

We Hold These Truths to Be Self-Evident

Saturday, July 4, is the 239th birthday of the United States, commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence (the U.S. astrology chart has Aquarius moon—freedom for its people, by its people). Cancer, a liberating and initiating sign, is the “gate” where Spirit enters matter. Cancer receives and distributes Ray 3 (Divine Intelligence) and Ray 7 (new rules, new rhythms, new free nation under God). Cancer represents an intelligent freethinking humanity that can and must create right economics for the world. This means a policy of sharing, an opportunity for the U.S. when Venus (money, resources, possessions, etc.) retrogrades July and August in Leo (the heart of the matter).

The United States has a unique spiritual task for the world: to lead humanity within and toward the light, accomplished by its people who must first awaken to this task, learn discrimination and be directed by the soul to assume the Herculean task of spiritual world leadership.

Let us review the first words of our Constitution: “We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America.” Let us form that union together. The following is a review of the spiritual tasks for each sign. Read all the signs. They all apply to everyone.

I Build a Lighted House and Therein Dwell

I Build a Lighted House and Therein Dwell

Wednesday, June 24, Chiron turns stationary retrograde (we turn inward) at 21.33 degrees Pisces. We usually speak of “retrograde” when referring to Mercury. But all planets retrograde. Next month in July, Venus retrogrades. What is Chiron retrograde? Chiron represents the wound within all of us. Wounds have purpose. They sensitize us; make us aware of pain and suffering. Through our wounds we develop compassion. Through compassion we become whole (holy) again. Chiron helps develop these states of consciousness. Everyone carries a wound. Everyone carries family wounds (family astrology tracks the astrological “DNA” through generations).

Chiron wounds are deep within. We’re often not aware of them until Chiron retrogrades. Then the wounds (through pain, hurt, sadness, suffering) become apparent. They seem to break us open emotionally, psychologically. Painful events from the past are remembered. They are brought to the present for healing. Through experiencing, talking about and deeply feeling what is hurting us, healing takes place. We begin to understand and bring healing to others.

All week, Jupiter and Venus move closer together in the sky. They meet in Leo at the full moon, Cancer solar festival, on Wednesday, July 1. The Cancer keynote is, “I build a lighted house and therein dwell.” The soul’s light has finally penetrated the “womb” of matter. The New Group of World Servers is to radiate this light. At the end of each sign are keywords to use and remember during the Chiron retrograde.

Summer Solstice, Sun Gods and Father’s Day

Summer Solstice, Sun Gods and Father’s Day

Sunday is summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, and winter solstice in the southern hemisphere. It is also Father’s Day. We celebrate all fathers (and some mothers who are also fathers) on this longest day of light for the year. We celebrate the masculine (radiating outward) aspects within all of us, the “fathering” of newborns, and all men (fathers) who have, in ways great and small, impacted our lives.

At summer solstice the Sun in Cancer rests quietly for three days at the Tropic of Cancer before turning southward again. Since winter solstice, the light grew stronger each day. When summer solstice begins, inaugurating the three months of summer, paradoxically there is less and less light each day.

Summer solstice is also called Litha—Celtic for the month of June. Uriel, the summer Archangel, living and teaching in fields and meadows, protects the Earth.

The Sun’s golden power is celebrated at solstice. In early times there were bonfires at midnight to reflect the solstice as the longest day of light for the year. The crops are growing, the Earth is warm, and the animal kingdom (humanity is both animal and spirit) spends many hours in nature under the long day’s warming Sun. Summer is the exact opposite of the cold darkness of Yule.

Ancient people celebrated the Sun god at summer solstice. Their names (representing the disk, rays and power of the Sun): Amaterasu (Shinto); Ra and Aten (Egypt); Apollo (Greek); Lugh (like Mercury, Celtic). The feminine (heart) aspect of the Sun was revered through Hestia or Vesta (flames, Greek); Juno (Roman, June is named for her); Minerva (Celtic, goddess of Wisdom); Sunna (Norse, goddess of the Sun).

The solstice unfolds under a Sun/Saturn transit (Saturn is Father Time). We may feel very serious, aware of the passing of time. Monday, Jupiter trines Uranus in the early morning. We harmoniously expand into the new world. The forerunners (New Group of World Servers) “imagine” this world first. Then everyone “sees” it.
