Seasons of Opportunity

Seasons of Opportunity

Everything in our world has a specific time (a season) in which to accomplish a specific work—a “season” that begins (opportunity) and ends (time’s up). I can feel the season is changing. The leaves turning colors, the air cooler, sunbeams casting shadows in different places. It feels like a seasonal change has begun in the northern hemisphere. Christmas is in four months, and 2015 is swiftly speeding by. Soon it will be autumn and time for the many Festivals of Light. Each season offers new opportunities. Then the season ends and new seasons take its place.

Humanity, too, is given “seasons” of opportunity. We are in one of those opportunities now, to bring something new (Uranus) into our world, especially in the United States. Times of opportunity can be seen in the astrology chart. In the U.S. chart, Uranus (change) joins Chiron (wound/healing). This symbolizes a need to heal the wounds of humanity. Uranus offers new archetypes, new ways of doing things. The Uranus/Chiron (Aries/Pisces) message is, “The people of the U.S. are suffering. New actions are needed to bring healing and well-being to humanity. So the U.S. can fulfill its spiritual task of standing within the light and leading humanity within and toward the light.”

Thursday, Aquarius Moon, Mercury enters Libra. The message, “To bring forth the new order in the world, begin with acts of Goodwill.” Goodwill produces right relations with everyone and everything. The result is a world of progressive well-being and peacefulness (which is neither passive nor the opposite of war).

Saturday is the full moon, the solar light of Virgo streaming into the Earth. Our waiting now begins, for the birth of new light at winter solstice. The mother (hiding the light of the soul, the holy child), identifying the feminine principle, says, “I am the mother and the child. I, God (Father), I Matter (Mother), We are One.”

Secret Life of Virgo

Secret Life of Virgo

Be careful on Thursday. We could stumble, wound, hurt, be unaware or have revelations that create a revolution. Mercury the messenger interacts with Chiron (wounds seeking healing) and Uranus (the unusual, apocryphal, revelatory thoughts leading to revolutionary actions). Scorpio Moon Thursday. Be aware of mysteries, secrets and hidden agendas.

Friday, the Sun in Leo (its last days in Leo) squares Saturn in Scorpio. We are to be aware of rules, creating needed boundaries in our lives, following directions, listening to the Teacher (the Soul).

Saturday, the last Leo Sun day, we may be confused, in a dream, steering our ships to destinations unknown. Direction appears late in the afternoon. Sunday, before dawn, the Sun enters Virgo. The Virgin appears, pregnant with new realities, the Soul, the new Kingdom on Earth. Virgo spreads her cape over the world, protecting humanity and Earth’s kingdoms, “nurturing and nourishing the little ones.” In Virgo, two lights are seen—one is bright and strong. This is the light of form (outer reality). Virgo is an Earth sign. The other light is faint and dim (inner spiritual reality), the light of spirit, the holy child, gestating in Virgo’s womb. One light (spirit) is waxing, the other (form) waning. Virgo gives birth at winter solstice.

There is always a stirring and a quickening within Virgo. A purity, a preparation, a grace seeking its rightful place in the material world, aspiring always to serve and fulfill its life task, to go perform right functions when needed. Virgo works with the devas, angels and archangels, great beings of light. Virgo’s spiritual task is to “protect the light.” This is the light of the soul, the light within each of us, the light of the angels. These are the hidden tasks and secrets of Virgo.

Mercury and Jupiter in Virgo

Mercury and Jupiter in Virgo

When the Sun and/or planets move through the sign Virgo, everyone begins to talk more. Talk, talk, talk and more talk. There’s a reason. Talking helps us sort out and integrate experiences, thoughts and ideas. Mercury and Jupiter are now in Virgo, which means a surplus of ideas flowing through minds. Thus, lots of talking. Mercury is exalted in Virgo. Jupiter expands Virgo.

Virgo has a great ability to see, point out, discuss and tend to earthly details. Pisces loves Virgo (sometimes). Pisces peers through clouds and veils, not quite understanding the Earth plane. Pisces is water (flowing) to Virgo’s Earth (solid). Often, Pisces turns to Virgo to understand those details before returning behind the veils. Veils are a comfort for Pisces, but for Virgo they are a frustration. Virgo is busy, serving all the time, seeing everyone’s potential, working and waiting for that potential to come forward.

While Mercury is in Virgo we must be detailed and precise in our communication, discriminating in our choices without emotional or critical reactions.

Jupiter is the enthusiastic big picture. In Virgo, Jupiter offers the larger context surrounding the details. Both are needed.

Jupiter in Virgo is a bit cautious, less exuberant, and hides its enthusiasm (at first). Jupiter becomes the professor speaking of religions, philosophies, culture and travel. Jupiter invites Virgo onto the playground, to take a rare quenching gulp of pleasure. At first, Virgo uses a thousand words (Mercury) to say, “No. I must be efficient, tend to details, create routines and schedules, and order daily life. I have no time to play.” Jupiter laughs. He has lots of time. Jupiter remains in Virgo for an entire year (till September 2016).

Friday, Aug. 14, is Leo new moon. The New Group of World Servers invites everyone to the Leo festival by reciting the Soul and Great Invocations. “Let light, love and power restore the plan on Earth.”

Humanity in a Time of Crisis

Humanity in a Time of Crisis

In Leo, we are on the Burning Grounds, given tests, standing in the fire. The crisis builds the fire of knowledge in our minds. Our God is a fire, Agni. In these sacrifices occurring in our families, towns, cities and world, a critical question arises: what is our response? When experiencing shocks, loss, devastation, exhaustion, and inexorable grief, we are in danger of losing our hearts. We don’t know how to respond. Leo is the heart of all that matters, calling us to maintain connection with our hearts, thus poised within the heart of all that matters, and to call forth our spiritual will of goodness. When we stand in spiritual will, we help the forces of light “seal the door where evil dwells.”

Here is a Mantra of Oneness; the Mantram of Unification. We recite it each day, together and from now on: The daughters and sons of men (humanity) are one. And I am one with them. I seek to love, not hate. I seek to serve and not exact due service.
I seek to heal, not hurt. Let pain bring due reward of light and love.
Let the Soul control the outer form, And life and all events.
And bring to light the love that underlies the happenings of the time.

Let vision come and insight.
 Let the future stand revealed.
Let inner union demonstrate and outer cleavages be gone.
Let love prevail. Let us all love more.

Leo Sun; Full Moon, Venus Retro in Leo; Saturn Direct

Leo Sun; Full Moon, Venus Retro in Leo; Saturn Direct

It’s a complex week of planetary movements, challenges, demands and callings. We’re in the time of the Leo Sun. Leo—fixed fire, gold, the heart, generous, strong, noble, the king/queen—needs appreciation and praise from everyone in order to move forward. During Leo we gain a greater sense of self-identification by recognizing our creativity. It’s therefore a perfect time for Venus retrograding in Leo. In Venus retrograde we review and re-assess values. Venus retro in Leo concerns our self as valuable, acknowledging talents, gifts, abilities and offerings. Friday, Venus re-enters Leo (29 degrees, a critical degree) continuing the retrograde to 14 degrees Leo on Sept. 6.

Friday (Full Moon) is also the (8 degrees) Leo solar festival, Festival of the Future. Leo is the heart of the sun, the heart of all that matters. When attuned to this heart, we have understanding and inclusivity. The heart of the Lion is Mitra (think “Maitreya,” the coming World Teacher). Leo prepares humanity to receive divine love from subtle sources and later to radiate that love to the kingdoms. Sirius, Ray 2, where love originates, streams through Regulus (heart of Leo), into the heart of the sun (Ray 2) and into all hearts. The heart of Leo is Regulus. Joining Venus, the love underlying all of creation appears.

Saturday is Sun/Neptune (confusion or devotion) with late night Saturn turning stationary direct. Ideas, plans and structures held long in abeyance (since March 14) slowly move forward. (Read more on Leo and the week at nightlightnews.org and Risa D’Angeles’ Facebook page, accessed through my website.)

Sun in Leo, Rosy Star, Venus and Uranus Retrograde

Sun in Leo, Rosy Star, Venus and Uranus Retrograde

Three major celestial events occur this week. Wednesday, the Sun enters Leo, highlighting the heart center of everyone. Leo is a sign of deep sensitivity (along with Cancer). Wednesday is also the feast day of St. Mary Magdalene, one of the most misunderstood women in the Bible.

Saturday, July 25, Venus turns stationary retrograde at 0 Virgo (progressed Regulus, the Law, Hall of Records). Venus retrogrades for 44 days and nights, forming one petal of a five-pointed rosy star (pentagram) in the sky (five retrogrades over eight years = star). Venus retrograde turns values upside down. Our usual sense of beauty, values, the real price of things, relationships—all turn into a bundle of confusion. We don’t seem to know anything. Luxury goods are mispriced, values are jumbled, we wonder who that person is we’re in relationship with. We don’t know where our money is or where it’s gone.

Venus, in daily life, represents values (resources, money, possessions and quality of relationships). Venus retrograde asks, “What do I value?” Venus retrograde puts us in touch with what has changed and what is truly of value in our lives. Venus retrogrades from 0 Virgo to 14 degrees Leo (July 25-Sept. 6). Leo is about the self and our creativity, which is how we come to know and value ourselves. We “know ourselves through what we create.” In Venus (values) retrograde (inner focus) we will ask, “What are values (not just money and finances)? What are my values? What do I create? How do I value my creations? Do I value myself?”

Sunday, Uranus—planet of all things new, revelatory and revolutionary—also retrogrades (from 20 to 16 degrees Aries) until the full moon of Christmas Day. Five months of Uranus retrograde. In July and continuing on through the following months we have many planets retrograding. Things therefore slow down. Everyone’s focus becomes subjective, hidden by veils and curtains. A time when inner reserves of strength are available. A time of protection.

Light in the Mind, Light of the World

Light in the Mind, Light of the World

On July 15, at the new moon (no light), something called Jade Helm 15 (July 15 – Sept. 15) will be initiated in the United States. Strategic military maneuvers in western and southern states, and a massive surveillance of the United States people. It’s important we know about these things. The keywords on the Jade Helm logo are, “Mastering the Human Domain.” It’s A.I. (artificial intelligence) being tested to monitor humanity and to make decisions based on the information gathered. See the July 10 article on my Facebook page, which can be accessed via my website nightlightnews.org, concerning Jade Helm (the name’s innocuous) and why it’s important to be aware.

This is our last week of Cancer. On Wednesday, July 22, on the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, the Sun enters Leo. Before Leo arrives, let us understand Cancer more. Everyone’s astrology chart contains the sign Cancer. Every sign has three developmental stages humanity sequentially progresses through. Here are Cancer’s developmental stages: 1. At first, we are self-oriented, self-absorbed and self-important (personality building). 2. After many lifetimes we awaken to our environments (Earth, families, friends) and become sensitive to others. 3. Then, one day, under the soul’s light, we “identify” and are united with the whole (which means holy) of life. Filled with the soul’s light we become the “light of the world.” With this light, we “build a lighted house for humanity and invite humanity home.” We dwell there, too.
