Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Preparation

Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Preparation

Thursday is Cinco de Mayo, Gemini moon, a perfect day for festivities. Sunday is Mother’s Day. The Cancer moon calls us to nurture and nourish our mothers in ways they need and understand (not necessarily our ways and needs).
I remember one Mother’s Day my brothers took mother (a Leo) to a Lobster Hut. It was (is) also a biker (motorcycle) hangout. There were no tables inside. Set amidst boulders and teetering on a hillside were picnic tables. The winds were almost gale force. A good time was not had by mother! My three brothers wondered why. They loved it.
Wednesday, a highly charged, multi-planetary-aspected day, Mars enters Taurus in the early morning. We are serious about preserving our lives, bringing the art of living into our world as it all crashes down around us.

May Day & the May New Moon

May Day & the May New MoonThe new moon occurs this week late close to midnight Monday night (Pacific), early morning hours (Eastern), 12 degrees Taurus. The Taurus personality building keynote is “Let struggle be undismayed.” While living in form and matter we learn not only about the nature of form itself, but, through encountering duality, we learn how to discriminate. Often this is a struggle.
Saturday, Venus opposes Saturn. We may feel isolated, separate from what we love and care for. Something new must be integrated.
Sunday is May Day, with various celebrations and commemorations, from early times to the present. May Day is the Festival of Flora (Roman goddess of flowers), a five-day Roman celebration. For the Druids, a new fire was lit, lending life to the springtime sun.

Passover, Passion Week, Easter

Passover, Passion Week, Easter It’s Passover and Passion Week, two religious celebrations, two developmental stages of humanity. Passover—the Angel of Death “passed over the homes” of the Hebrews the night before leaving Egypt (end of Age of Taurus). Passion Week recreates the spiritual Initiations of Jesus and Christ—betrayal, crucifixion, death, resurrection (our Initiations, also).
Holy Thursday—Christ’s Last Supper, washing of the feet (signifying humility, Pisces Age task), Holy Eucharist (bread of matter, the wine of Spirit), Judas’ betrayal for 30 pieces of silver (personality betrays our spirit), agony in the Garden (Gethsemane) by absorbing world evil, accepting the task of World Savior (Pisces task) anchoring Love on Earth from Sirius and first strand of God’s Will (after much unknowingness and asking for help).

Aries Festival – Love & the Forces of Restoration

Aries Festival – Love & the Forces of RestorationSunday (Palm Sunday), April 17, 7:44 p.m. (West Coast), the Aries (Rays 1 & 7) solar full moon Festival occurs. On this day, the Love of God streams into the Earth. Esoterically, it is the great western Resurrection (of Life) festival when the Spirit of Resurrection is called forth to release the Forces of Restoration. Active during spring, these are the Forces that renew the Earth. Emanating from the Mind of God, and the Intelligence principle in nature, they stimulate, broaden and awaken the human mind (Mercury) so that intelligent thinking and appropriate action comes forth. During this time of transition and world emergency, the Forces of Restoration are active in every land. Initially they produce increased destruction leading to a reorganization of national life worldwide.

We are the Builders

We are the BuildersWe are preparing for the first of three Spring Festivals, Aries, where we invoke from the Spirit of Resurrection, the Forces of Restoration (not of things old, used, retrogressive or completed, but the restoration of the Plan on Earth). We see the need for restoration in our world. Especially the “restoration” of humanity understanding its spiritual task. Our world is in turmoil. East and west—from wars, to protests (humanity seeking freedom), to earthquakes to radiation now circling the earth, entering our oceans, air, soil, food chain, water and milk.
We are in the heart of unprecedented transformation (Pluto in Capricorn). It is important to remind ourselves the inner reality (reason and purpose) of these happenings. We are in transition, equi-poised between the withdrawing past Age (Ray 6, Pisces) and the incoming new Age (Aquarius, Rays 5 & 7).

Reviewing All Things New

Reviewing All Things NewSwirling around Sunday’s new moon (13:30 Aries) are six planets in Aries (Sun, Moon, Mercury retro, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus). Running close behind are three planets in Pisces (Venus, Chiron, Neptune). The chart looks like a bucket (Aries/Pisces bundle) with a handle (Saturn in Libra opposite Aries). Creating a square to Aries/Libra is Pluto in Capricorn (7 degrees). And off to the side, like sidekicks, are the nodes (direction) in Sag/Gemini. It’s a potent chart for the week, month, year and times, filled with cardinal energies (Aries, Libra, Capricorn) and new direction (Aries/Sag). As Pluto in Capricorn calls for release of all things hidden, Uranus and the other four in Aries create all things new no matter outer risks or consequences.

Chirotic Times

Chirotic TimesWe’re in chirotic times: times of chaos, crisis, catastrophe and calamity (earthquakes, tsunami, war in Libya, etc.) leading to a new world era. What is occurring, how do we understand it? Ray 1 is streaming into the world, in specific places (spiritual outlets). Ray 1 (Pluto/Vulcan), at first, destroys, liberating materialism and removing what obstructs the new creation. Ray 1 (Will of God, Purpose), later, builds the new realities, culture and civilization. For now we are in the first phase of destruction. On the inner planes, it is always “Love that underlies the happenings of the times.” Great sacrifice has love at the center.

Giving and Giving, Then Giving Some More

2014 is almost over. Wednesday, Dec. 17, the Jewish Festival of Light, Hanukkah, begins. We are in our last week of Sag and last two weeks of December. Sunday, Dec. 21 is winter Solstice, as the sun enters Capricorn (3:30 p.m. for the west coast). Soon after, the Capricorn new moon occurs (5:36 p.m. for the west coast)—the last new moon of 2014. Sunday morning Uranus in Aries (revolution, revelation) is stationary direct (retro since July 22). Uranus/Aries create things new and needed to anchor the new culture and civilization (Aquarius). We will see revolutionary change in 2015. Capricorn new moon, building-the-personality seed thought, is, “Let ambition rule and let the door to initiation and freedom stand wide (open).” Capricorn is a gate—where matter returns to spirit. But the gate is unseen until the Ajna Center (third eye), Diamond Light of Direction, opens. Winter solstice is the longest day of darkness of the year. The sun’s rays resting at the Tropic of Capricorn (southern hemisphere) symbolize the Christ (soul’s) light piercing the heart of the Earth, remaining there for three days, till Holy Night (midnight Thursday morning). Then the sun’s light begins to rise. It is the birth of the new light (holy child) for the world. A deep calm and stillness pervades the world. The entire planet is revivified, re-spiritualized. All hearts beating reflect this Light. And so throughout the Earth there’s a radiant “impress” (impressions, pictures) given to humanity of the World Mother and her Child. The star Sirius (love/direction) and the constellation Virgo the mother shines above. For gift giving, give to those in need. Give and give and then give some more. This creates the new template of giving and sharing for the new world.
