Cooperation and Cooperatives Aquarian Agenda, Serving Humanity

Cooperation and Cooperatives Aquarian Agenda, Serving HumanityMany ask what to think and do for the coming times. We have little time. Every moment must be filled with purpose and focus, Sagittarian ideals that build the new civilization (Capricorn). Let us have the willingness of action that determines specific results (from Will to Love). Cooperation, community, comradeship are the keys. Mars in Virgo (through June) provides the “quickening” needed to manifest a new way of being. 2012 is the UN International Year of Cooperatives (IYC 2012).

Timetable for the Path of Return

Timetable for the Path of ReturnThe new year of 2012 has begun. We are at its beginning. Before the retrogrades (through August) begin, we have a few preparatory thoughts to ponder. There will be much apocalyptic rhetoric in the coming year. I suggest we ignore it, turning instead toward a more positive, self-creative state of mind. It’s most important, for the next three months, for humanity to ponder upon new potentialities leading to new probabilities leading to new outcomes concerning how we live.

Goodwill To All In 2012

Goodwill To All In 20122012 is an eventful year when three major cycles of development for humanity’s evolution cease. The ways we think and believe will no longer be viable, because a new evolutionary force is entering our world. It is a force for good, for “life more abundant.” We will experience major shifts of awareness (consciousness) due to the prominence of mutable signs (Gemini, Sag, Virgo, Pisces) influencing humanity. These build the personality within humanity to be strong and courageous, able to withstand modification, alterations. Humanity will deeply assess prevailing values, ideas we have been taught, (many of which we find are incorrect) and beliefs around those ideas. Astrologically, humanity will assess life itself (what is it?) and our part in it (who are we?).

Greater Measure of Light Arrives. We ‘Occupy’ and Radiate That Light.

Greater Measure of Light Arrives. We ‘Occupy’ and Radiate That Light.Winter solstice occurs as the Sun enters Capricorn (Thursday morning), Gate where matter returns to Spirit, the Light Supernal at the mountaintop. Resting for three days at the Tropic of Capricorn, the Sun moves forward at midnight, Christmas morning. The Temple doors open and Mary (earth, matter) gives birth to (receives) the holy child (the new light). This light being more rare and inclusive than last year’s light. Quietly, Capricorn’s Light of Initiation streams into Earth. On Christmas day, Jupiter, heart of the Aquarian Age, turns direct in Taurus (humanity’s illumination), streaming to Earth Ray 2, Love/Wisdom, what Christ anchored on Earth 2000 years ago.

Gift Giving With Purpose & Meaning

Gift Giving With Purpose & Meaning

I attended an Alternative Giving Fair in Fayetteville, Ark., last week. Table after table of gift alternatives focused, not upon individual ephemera (tinselly) needs, but upon humanity’s needs. In a conversation with my daughter this week, responding to her saying she has not bought any holiday gifts (good choice in the Mercury retro), I suggested that she not buy any gifts this year (and next) of the regular kind. Instead that she gather her little (holy) family, inform them that Christmas (the holidays, including Hanukkah) would be different this year and every year hereafter. Instead of receiving they would be giving together as a family to another family in need.

Right Use of Arrows of Thought

Right Use of Arrows of Thought

Lest Sagittarius be lost in holiday preparations, festivals, Advent candles, feast days, traveling, food and preparations, let’s consider this sign—hidden, silent, driven to travel, eating, capturing images and making music—in depth. Sagittarius has vision, aspiration, goals of service and saviorship (Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces). Sagittarius is tested (like Scorpio), learning the “right use of the arrows of thought, restraint of speech, and harmlessness (ahimsa). Eventually these great tests result in liberation. Esoterically Sag is one of the “signs of silence.” Let us note that Sag is the time and sign immediately preceding (and thus preparing for) the new light of winter solstice and birth of the Holy Child. Sagittarius seeks the “spirit of truth emerging from individual revelation.” Sag is a mutable sign (as are Pisces and Gemini).

Advent, Adventus

Advent, Adventus

We are in the time of Advent now, preparing for winter solstice’s new light (signified by the Holy Child’s birth). Advent is Latin for adventus meaning “something’s about to happen, something’s arriving.” Advent is a “season” of expectancy: It’s a lingering hushed yet celebratory time. The Hebrews await the Messiah; Christians, the Second Coming; Esotericists, Christ’s Re-appearance; Buddhists, the Bodhisattva, Hindus, the Avatar; Mohammedans, the Imam Mahdi; Earth’s kingdoms await the new light of the Sun ascending from the tropic of Capricorn at winter solstice.

The Meaning of ‘LIFE’

With a new documentary film about his work, and huge exhibits on both coasts, acclaimed Santa Cruz nature photographer Frans Lanting is having a landmark year. But his crusade for conservation doesn’t leave much time for looking back

Seasons of Opportunity

Everything in our world has a specific time (a season) in which to accomplish a specific work—a “season” that begins (opportunity) and ends (time’s up). I can feel the season is changing. The leaves turning colors, the air cooler, sunbeams casting shadows in different places. It feels like a seasonal change has begun in the northern hemisphere. Christmas is in four months, and 2015 is swiftly speeding by. Soon it will be autumn and time for the many Festivals of Light. Each season offers new opportunities. Then the season ends and new seasons take its place. Humanity, too, is given “seasons” of opportunity. We are in one of those opportunities now, to bring something new (Uranus) into our world, especially in the United States. Times of opportunity can be seen in the astrology chart. In the U.S. chart, Uranus (change) joins Chiron (wound/healing). This symbolizes a need to heal the wounds of humanity. Uranus offers new archetypes, new ways of doing things. The Uranus/Chiron (Aries/Pisces) message is, “The people of the U.S. are suffering. New actions are needed to bring healing and well-being to humanity. So the U.S. can fulfill its spiritual task of standing within the light and leading humanity within and toward the light.” Thursday, Aquarius Moon, Mercury enters Libra. The message, “To bring forth the new order in the world, begin with acts of Goodwill.” Goodwill produces right relations with everyone and everything. The result is a world of progressive well-being and peacefulness (which is neither passive nor the opposite of war). Saturday is the full moon, the solar light of Virgo streaming into the Earth. Our waiting now begins, for the birth of new light at winter solstice. The mother (hiding the light of the soul, the holy child), identifying the feminine principle, says, “I am the mother and the child. I, God (Father), I Matter (Mother), We are One.”

Comanche Cellars

Michael Simons, owner and winemaker of Comanche Cellars, once had a trusted steed called Comanche, which was part of his paper route and his rodeo circuit, from the tender age of 10. In memory of this beautiful horse, he named his winery Comanche, and Comanche’s shoes grace the label of each handcrafted bottle.
