Our Labors

Our Labors

As Burning Man (Rites of Passage) burns in the desert sands, everywhere the Virgo petal unfolds (Earth—a 12-petaled lotus) and we enter the womb of the Mother, gestating, for humanity, once again (each year) a new state of consciousness. Both Virgo and Cancer, the feminine signs, are from our last solar system, where we were nurtured by a matriarchy of energies. Overseen by the Pleaides, the Earth (matter, mater) in that last solar system was imbued with intelligence, with the “mother.” As we move toward autumn, Ceres, the mother of Persephone, has only three more weeks with her beloved daughter. The persimmons and pomegranate trees are preparing for autumn, their colors signs of hope as the light each day dims.

Thursday is Scorpio moon, a time of mysteries and discipleship. Friday continues the Scorpio moon. In the nighttime, Sun trines Jupiter. Something harmonious and loving appears. Saturday is v/c for two hours prior to Sag moon at 2:03 p.m. taking us into Labor Day.

Rites of Passage: Burning Man

Rites of Passage: Burning Man

Mercury turns stationary direct Friday, 3 p.m. (West Coast) at 19 degrees Leo. The new moon, 16 degrees Virgo, is Sunday night (8:04 p.m.). Join the New Group of World Servers for the new moon festival by reciting the Great Invocation.

Burning Man has presciently (French: foreknowledge) named their theme this year “Rites of Passage.” Providing a link or bridge between the death of one reality and the birth of another, the idea of Rites of Passage can also be applied to what is occurring to humanity and our economy in our present world situation. Esoterically, as the economic system seems to be floundering with erratic ups and downs, we can understand this as the withdrawal of Ray 6 (competitive age of values) and the emergence of Ray 7 (new Aquarian values of sharing). Change creates a disturbance in the fabric of accepted reality for society and individuals.

Keeping the Door to Freedom

Keeping the Door to Freedom

We are seeing in our world today the “withering of the law,” the old ways falling away, having completed their usefulness. However, as this is occurring (allowing Ray 7, the new culture and civilization to form), great retrogressive forces are also at play (Ray 6, old regime of power, corruption, money and politics), attempting, with great cleverness and cunning, to hinder humanity’s forward movement into a new evolutionary field.

Each of us has a level of service to bring forth so the evolutionary movement can be accomplished. We have a “note” that “sounds” our highest values that bring about transformation. The Tibetan, in his blue books, tells us we must realize our identity as Divine, as World Servers and World Saviors.

Identity, Freedom, Choice

Identity, Freedom, Choice

The full moon, Leo solar festival, is Saturday around noon (Pacific time). Leo calls us to a self-identity, which then allows us to choose, in this worldwide critical time, which side we support, the side of the retrogressive forces (dark) or the side of evolution (Light). It’s been a difficult astrological few weeks. The United States is experiencing Saturn return (Saturn in Libra). Saturn, Dweller on the Threshold, points out personality hindrances (materialism) obstructing Spiritual work. This is occurring to everyone as well as to the United States. We (individuals, citizens, the U.S.) must address the Dweller in order to safeguard our future.

The U.S. (transits/natal chart) is experiencing extreme instability, positioned precariously between dark and light, with great opportunities ahead should the Dweller be addressed.

Universal Peace Day

Universal Peace Day

As we progress through Mercury retrograde, the past shows up for remembrance and review. During the final stages of World War II (in 1945), two atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima (Aug. 6) and Nagasaki (Aug 9), Japan, This event, (the only use of nuclear weapons in war to date) released and liberated the energy of the atom, an important spiritual event equal to the appearance of humanity on Earth. Universal Peace Day was created to commemorate the moments and days of those bombings. Organized in 1984 (Art for the People in Central Park, New York beginning with a sunrise meditation), singers, dancers, artists and poets shared messages of peace throughout the day. At the exact moment on the anniversary of the bombings, candles were lit and bells rang out all over Central Park.

From Water to Fire— Mercury Retro & Leo New Moon

From Water to Fire— Mercury Retro & Leo New MoonWe’ve left the waters of Cancer and find ourselves in the heated sign of kings and queens, of Lions, the Sphinx, Sirius, and the giant star, Regulus, at the heart of Leo.  Leo is the “heart of matter” from which our life force emanates. Knowing this about Leo, we begin to understand the depth, breadth and dramatic life force of Leo (Sun, Rising, Moon, Mars).
Leo is fixed, steady pulsating fire. Leo, on the personality-building level, creates dictators not in touch with love or Divine Will, commanding others from their undeveloped self. Let us see them as in
training. These are their words, “I rule as a right of my presence in any situation. Let other forms exist. I rule because I am!”
When directed by the Soul (consciousness, the Sun (the Father) streams into the heart creating Divine Inspiration, uniting Will with Love Leos and leaders. Great leaders rule with Will and Love.

Economic Intelligence, the Holy Spirit & Liberation

Economic Intelligence, the Holy Spirit & Liberation

As of this writing severe weather (heat, sink holes, flash floods, droughts, etc) is occurring in many places around the country while our U.S. government is deadlocked about the state (debts, taxes, etc.) of our economy (Ray 3). During Cancer’s full moon meditation Thursday night, those participating in the Kalachakra Initiation and full moon meditation in Washington DC saw the president’s helicopter take off and fly over the city. He flew into the Light of the Cancer full moon. We hope this gave him the strength and courage to decide what is for the greatest good. We call forth the Law of Ancient Dominating Good and the Forces of Light to flow into and influence the U.S. government.
The financial disarray (achieving a harmony through Conflict, Ray 4) is not surprising. Saturn in Libra (both Ray 3 of Economic Intelligence) is squaring the U.S. Sun in Cancer in the second house of finances and values. Squares challenge us into a new direction. Saturn, Dweller on the Threshold, highlights obstacles to intelligent success. Saturn, exalted in Libra, calls for balance. Opportunity is given if we make responsible decisions.

Chinese New Year of the Red Fire Monkey

Monday, Feb. 8, is Aquarius new moon (19 degrees) and Chinese New Year of the Red Fire Monkey (an imaginative, intelligent and vigilant creature). Monkey is bright, quick, lively, quite naughty, clever, inquiring, sensible, and reliable. Monkey loves to help others. Often they are teachers, writers and linguists. They are very talented, like renaissance people. Leonardo Da Vinci was born in the year of Monkey. Monkey contains metal (relation to gold) and water (wisdom, danger). 2016 will be a year of finances. For a return on one’s money, invest in monkey’s ideas. Metal is related to wind (change). Therefore events in 2016 will change very quickly. We must ponder with care before making financial, business and relationship changes. Fortune’s path may not be smooth in 2016. Finances and business as usual will be challenged. Although we develop practical goals, the outcomes are different than hoped for. We must be cautious with investments and business partnership. It is most important to cultivate a balanced and harmonious daily life, seeking ways to release tension, pressure and stress to improve health and calmness. Monkey is lively, flexible, quick-witted, and versatile. Their gentle, honest, enchanting yet resourceful nature results often in everlasting love. Monkeys are freedom loving. Without freedom, Monkey becomes dull, sad and very unhappy. During the Spring and Autumn Period (770 - 476 BC), the Chinese official title of Marquis (noble person) was pronounced ‘Hou,’ the same as the pronunciation of ‘monkey’ in Chinese. Monkey was thereby bestowed with auspicious (favorable, fortunate) meaning. Monkey years are: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016.
