The Times They Are a-Changin'

RisaNewSWe are in the midst of the Three Spring Festivals which are the foundations of the New World Religion forming as the Aquarian Age continues to unfold. In the past weeks we’ve experienced multiple planetary shifts, the purposes being to create the new Earth and the new world humanity is to work within. Sun entering Taurus (in Mercury retro) brought us Vulcan (Ray 1), the erupting Icelandic volcano and the resulting canceling of Europe’s air travel. Chiron in Pisces is helping us review and renew the visions and prophecies of the 1960s. Saturn opposite Uranus has changed time (there is no more time as we have known it) and continues to adjust the world economy. The full moons of Aries & Taurus called forth the Forces of Restoration (to restore the Plan on Earth) and Enlightenment (illuminating humanity’s minds to causal reality). And there’s more to come. At the Festival of Humanity (Gemini solar festival) Uranus (revolution) enters Aries (all things new), then Jupiter enters Aries (and the Aquarian Age truly begins), Saturn will conjunct Pluto (continued transformation of all structures).

During the Festival of Humanity, May 27, the Forces of Reconstruction will issue forth and during the full moon of Cancer/Capricorn, June 26, there’s also a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses dissolve what’s no longer useful in form. Bob Dylan’s 1964 song “The Times They Are a-Changin'” (youtube.com/watch?v=-i1wlI86mJI) couldn’t be more apt unless we were back in the 1960s, the decade that laid the foundation for our present reorienting times. Dylan  sings, “As the present now, will later be past. The order is rapidly fadin'. The planets tell us the Earth and her kingdoms are now entering a phase of transformation that will alter (uplift) the vibrational field, that time is over, the Ring Pass Not is slowly fading, veils between the planes are dissolving and revolution’s near. Esoteric Astrology as News for the week of  April 29–May 5, 20 For Sun and Rising Signs

ariesAries-March 21–April 20
A time of great change has arrived for you personally. You will find yourself breaking with the past, attempting new endeavors and different ways of presenting yourself to the world. All relationships will take on different hues, meaning everything becomes unconventional. Including your appearance.

taurusTaurus
April 21–May 21
Someone or something is asking you to adopt a different value system, one that is not your usual and regular way of being. You resist. There are consequences. Perhaps you don’t know what they are yet. It’s a good idea to ponder upon these things. The old ways are in the way, everywhere. There must be a clearing.

geminiGemini
May 22–June 20
Flashes of insight become commonplace and grow each day. They give you information concerning decisions and what authoritative action is best. More and more your actions are unique. This could lead to opposition from others, especially those in charge. They don’t understand your choices. Each day you seek more independence. You are not afraid anymore.

cancerCancer
June 21–July 20
Amidst the sudden decision to travel or have an adventure, you realize you’re seeking a utopia to live in. Not for you the conventional path, customs and traditions are set aside for new independent ideas, exotic places that reflect advanced ways of living and thinking. It’s an experiment. Caution is advised.

leoLeo
July 21–August 22
Do you sense money, finances, investments and legal issues affecting your life are becoming erratic, and do you feel an out-of-controlness? Your keen intuition is telling you to keep track of all market ups and downs and realize sudden changes may occur in business and relationship interactions. What is there to hold onto?

virgoVirgo
August 23–September 22
Some Virgo’s may unexpectedly marry without much thought. Some will divorce with even less thought. Other Virgos will be aware that strange things may occur within their relationship, erratic behaviors, independence, major upsets and unexpected changes. Some Virgos will take this in stride. Astrological Virgos will. That’s good.

libraLibra
September 23–October 22
Your daily work environment, routines, schedules and also your health may become unpredictable moving toward irregular. Some Librans love this for it allows for more freedom. Others need the structure reliable and regular agendas impose. You might become angry, impatient and nervous. You sometimes learn the hard way. Through loss. Gather your beloveds.

scorpioScorpio
October 23–November 21
You’re inventive and creative. At times you need a bit more self-control. You’ll learn this eventually. Self-knowledge sometimes comes through being reckless and foolhardy. Are you this way with relationships, perhaps? You want most of all now freedom and independence. What should you do with your relationship, co-workers and/or children?

saggSagittarius
November 22–December 20
Perhaps there will be a change to your home life. You want freedom to come and go at will (from home and work). You want different and unusual living conditions. Although you love family traditions, they are counter to your needs at this time. The foundations of your entire life feel unreliable and changeable. This persists. It’s difficult but good.

capricornCapricorn
December 21–January 20
Your thinking and communicating become quite revolutionary. Gradually, or spontaneously, or unexpectedly (Uranian words) you become involved in advanced, new thought thinking. Very few may think like you. A sense of aloneness develops until you find your group. Off you go, at a moment’s notice. People smile as you speed by.

aquariusAquarius
January 21–February 18
When you hear someone in need do you say, “How can I help? Call me. I’ll help you.” Are you able to do this? In the Wisdom work the disciple is always asked to “look for the need” in all situations and to assist in filling that need. In this way the Aquarian task of serving others (humanity) is always in the forefront. When one serves, one is also “served.” How do you serve?

piscesPisces
February 19–March 20
You develop a deep need to be independent and completely free, working best by yourself. Your environments, home and professional, must be orderly, clean and clear so that your investigative mind can work unobstructed, with ease and skill. You need to be in the company of creative people. This brings comfort. Do not place yourself in limiting circumstances. This brings radical discomfort. You also need flowers.

Gemini Sun, Pentecost, Shavuot—Enlightenment and Gladness

As the sun enters Gemini on Sunday, sign of speaking, communication, thinking, inter-relations, writing and understanding languages, the feast days of Pentecost & Shavuot (Catholic and Jewish festivals) occur. During Pentecost’s 50 days after Easter, tongues of fire appear above the heads of the disciples, providing them with the ability to understand all languages and all feelings hidden in the minds and hearts of humanity. It’s recorded that Pentecost began with a loud noise, which happened in an upper room (signifying the mind). The Christ (World Teacher) told his disciples (after his ascension) when encountering a man at a well carrying a water pot (signs for Age of Aquarius) to follow him to an upper room. There, the Holy Spirit (Ray 3 of Divine Intelligence) would overshadow them, expand their minds, give them courage and enable them to teach throughout the world, speaking all languages and thus able to minister to the true needs of a “seeking” humanity. Pentecost (50 days, pentagram, Ray 5, Venus, concrete and scientific knowledge, the Ray of Aquarius) sounds dramatic, impressive and scary: The loud noise, a thunderous rush of wind and then “tongues of fire” above the heads of each disciple (men and women). Fire has purpose. It purifies, disintegrates, purges, transforms and liberates (frees) us from the past. This was the Holy Spirit (Ray 3, love and wisdom) being received by the disciples, so they would teach in the world and inform humanity of the Messiah (Christ), who initiated the new age (Pisces) and gave humanity the new law (adding to the 10 Commandments of the Aries Age) to Love (Ray 2) one another. Note: Gemini is also Ray 2. Shavuot is the Jewish Festival of Gladness, the First Fruits Festival celebrating the giving of the 10 Commandments to Moses as the Aries Age was initiated. Thus, we have two developmental stages here, Jewish festival of the Old Testament. Pentecost of the New Testament. We have gladness, integrating both.

What’s your take on Santa Cruz locals?

Santa Cruz locals are really friendly once you know them. I think a lot of them have a hard time leaving, and I would too. Ryan Carle, Santa Cruz, Biologist

Soquel Vineyards

If Soquel Vineyards partners Peter and Paul Bargetto and Jon Morgan were walking down the street wearing their winning wine competition medals, you’d hear them coming from a mile away. This year was particularly rewarding for the Bargettos and Morgan—they won two Double Gold Medals and five Gold Medals at January’s San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
