Mercury & Uranus Retrograde

RisaNewS

After Thursday’s calm Taurus moon, Friday, the 13th, we’re shaken up as Uranus, the star of revolution (the cool cat of the zodiac), changes direction, retrograding at 8:32 degrees Aries (till Dec. 13).  The revolution turns inward, for a psychological, philosophical and social media review. Saturday evening, following Uranus’ lead, Mercury, star of conflict (purposeful task) also turns stationary retrograde (from 13 to 1 degrees Leo), till Aug. 8. Everything, all communications, for three weeks, tailspins, goes into review. Everyone turns inward (except natal Mercury retrograders). We feel “off-course,” out of sight, no longer comprehending who we are, how to talk, drive or see ahead. Confusion becomes the norm. With Mercury retrograde in dramatic and fiery Leo we ask ourselves “What is our creativity, how do we identify as a creative individual, what creative gifts can we develop and offer the world?” We have three weeks to ponder this “I am by what I create” state. Let’s have fun. Leo likes fun. Beginning Tuesday, like a potent power-ball thrown to Earth, planets Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto (the “big hitters) create a T-square (an umbrella) in the sky. Distributed to the Earth are powerful forces compelling humanity (those who are awake) to challenge all beliefs of how things are, were or should be. The planets signal transparency, exposing hidden forces and motivations that have (falsely for millennia) ruled and controlled our world. Wednesday night, under this T-square (opposition and squares) is the Cancer (the masses) new moon. Countries go to war under new moons and this particular combination of “bad boy” planets. Our personal lives will be affected. (Read more at nightlightnews.com & Risa’s Esoteric Astrology FB).

Esoteric Astrology as News for the week of Jul 12–Jul 18, 2012 For Sun and Rising Signs

ariesAries-March 21–April 20

Usually a fast talker, quick thinker and speed driver, often becoming impatient with others (everyone, actually) less fast than you, notice in the next three weeks your mind and communication slowing down, words inaccessible and ideas not flowing smoothly. Don’t speculate or gamble, and don’t expect others to be forthcoming. Everyone’s pretty much uncommunicative at this time. Focus inward on the new creative identity you want to develop.

taurusTaurus April 21–May 21

It’s best to put off important family, group and domestic decisions. Careful with family communications. There may be many misunderstandings. Speak clearly; ask those you are speaking with to articulate what they heard you say. Career decisions are not to be made at this time. Re-thinking all aspects home and work life is appropriate. Kindness is needed with everyone. The whole world is in a state. Remember: health first!

geminiGemini May 22–June 20

Past communications, friends, lovers, intimates, ideas, thoughts, hopes and wishes may come to rest on your doorstep for a while. Be very observant of your self. As the “communicator” of the zodiac, during Mercury retrogrades, your thinking and speaking change. Notice and acknowledge this, even in public. People will realize you have taught them something. Everything in your life may be delayed. When stopped for whatever reason, look around.

cancerCancer June 21–July 20

You may feel the need for communication concerning finances. Make no major monetary investments or changes in any present financial arrangements. Not for about a month. Things you hoped would occur may be cancelled as long-range financial situations come to light. Simply ponder upon all this, budget wisely, and re-examine (ask yourself) what you value. Accept compliments concerning your creative gifts. You can say, “I’m so glad you noticed!”

leoLeo July 21–August 22

During the next three week you may wonder how you’re seen in the world. Looking in the mirror you make decisions that your persona needs an upgrade. It’s important to consider what impact you have on the world, especially at first meetings, when people make split-second decisions that remain with them forever. In the film The Help, the maids taught the white children “You are kind, you are smart, you are beautiful.” Words for you.

virgoVirgo August 23–September 22

This Mercury retrograde allows you to see your present self-image and then new ways of perceiving a new self-image. Old business, old ideas along with your old identity may arise. This allows you to create and express something new about yourself. You will want to communicate this, but allow it first to gestate within so flashes of insight can gather a body of information about who you want to be.

libraLibra September 23–October 22

Are there children in your life? Perhaps friends with, or who act like, children (not a judgment, a playfulness)? Perhaps you need to be childlike for a while. The retrograde provides insights into children and childhood, especially your early years. It lets you know there was at time, joy, great creative expression, playfulness and a free and natural way of life—even if you don’t think so. Love is always the answer here. Like, “God is good … always.”

scorpioScorpio October 23–November 21

Something in your public appearances or position draws to a temporary close. You go into hiding, a retreat that the retrograde says soon will become overdue. This means it’s time to tend to things untended to. Perhaps work that has been neglected or pushed aside. Retrogrades are times to take extra care with all that’s undone. Make no important decisions, sign no contacts. Only old business should be your focus. eEaluating your public image.

saggSagittarius November 22–December 20

You assess your future (yet again). You will seek the Truth of the matter of this future. You may not have answers but the question of Truth permeate your heart and mind, helping you gain an even greater idea of Truth in terms of your ethics, your philosophy of life, your choices, your health, how you experiment with Truth and the truth of the past. Don’t worry about communication problems. You know what to say: the “truth” that Mercury’s retro!

capricornCapricorn December 21–January 20

Something from the past that you have lost or it has moved away or changed, something or someone of value that deeply affected you, returns to your consciousness and you ponder it again. Allow yourself to see it with new eyes. Ask your heart what that would be. Review all monetary situations with partner and family. Review what is of value for you and your significant other and evaluate if your present use of money is working efficiently.

aquariusAquarius January 21–February 18

All past relationships come to mind and you assess whether you loved enough, whether they loved you enough and what you might do in future relationships that creates greater understanding and love between two. Present relationships (intimates, friends, partners) at this time need unrevealed parts of you to be revealed so new insights can be gathered. Seek newer ways to communicate. Say “I love you” more.

piscesPisces February 19–March 20

A previous health concern may arise and there is confusion as to why. Tend to health very attentively, so this doesn’t arise again. Organize herbs and vitamins, learn a new health approach, find a new care provider, uncover new information, investigate how to build a pool and where to swim. Great sorrow for past aspects of your life may arise. Create a manifesting-of-needs and dreams wall. Write, paint and draw them.

Best of Santa Cruz 2015

In 40 years of publishing, Good Times has seen a lot of “bests.”

Spring Triangle: Three Spring Festivals—Aries, Taurus, Gemini

The Spring signs Aries, Taurus and Gemini constitute a triangle of force that sets the template for the nine signs that follow and the template for the entire year (Spring 2015 - Spring 2016) ahead. Aries initiates new ideas, Taurus stabilizes the new thinking of Aries and Gemini takes the initiating stabilized ideas of Aries/Taurus and disperses them to all of humanity. It is in this way that humanity learns new things, with the help of Mercury, the messenger. As Spring unfolds, three elements emerge: the Fire of Aries (initiating new ideas), the Earth of Taurus (anchoring the ideas of God through Mercury) and the Air of communicating Gemini. These three signs/elements are the Three Spring Festivals. They are the “triangle of force” forming the template (patterns) of energy for the upcoming new year. After these three we then have the soothing, calming, warming, nurturing and tending waters of the mother (Cancer). Cancer initiates our next season under the hot suns of summer. Planets, stars and signs create the Temple of Light directing humanity towards all things new. March 29 is Palm Sunday, when the Christ, World Teacher, was led into Jerusalem (City of Peace) on a donkey (humility). Palms waving above His head, signified recognition of the Christ’s divinity. Palm Sunday is the Sunday before the Easter (Resurrection Festival). Palm Sunday begins Holy Week, the week of capture, imprisonment, passion, sacrifice, crucifixion, death and resurrection of the christ. All events in the Christ’s life represent events (initiations) that humanity experiences through many lifetimes. We turn our attention to these holy events this week. Their concepts portray and reveal to us greater spiritual understanding. Then, Aries, the “light of life itself” shines through us.
