If you are eager to grow with GT, have a (big) nose for news and are wonderfully web savvy, this could be the place for you. GT is looking for a sharp, smart, experienced news writer. This is a full-time position. Candidates must have a realistic grasp on Santa Cruz County news and politics, the local culture and be able to pen weekly material for the print and web editions. Advertising Account Executive (entry level)

Please read the following carefully before you send your resume.

To be considered for this postion you must have at least 12 months full time work experience in a service industry or office environment.  Your resume will not be peppered with phrases like "people-person" , multi-tasker", "goal oriented" , "natural leader" etc. unless you can evidence an experience that befits the phrase.

You must have the tenacity to make the next call even when the last 10 said no.

You must be articulate and feel comfortable interacting with all levels of the business community.

You must want to learn an industry that will pay large dividends in the coming years but have the patience and work ethic to stick with it until you reach those financial goals.

You know how to seperate work and play and do not take sales rejection personally. 

You want to work a full day, EVERY day.
